Today, electric car enthusiasts all around the world are awaiting a series of Tesla’s enlisted electric cars models that are planned for release in the upcoming few years. These include the Tesla Roadster 2020, the all-electric Class 8 semi-trailer truck, a Cybertruck and an electric four-wheel all-terrain vehicle, Cyberquad, to demonstrate the loading capacity of the Cybertruck’s bed. Although the makers received few negative feedbacks on the latter two model’s prototype, it will be interesting to witness the implemented changes in their structure and design for safety and other regulatory compliance. In a recent tweet by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, he hints towards a redesigned model of the Cybertruck – “maybe in a month or so.”
While there is still time as we wait for these upcoming models for the user’s reviews after the final product release, it would be fun to talk about a series of interesting facts about the company’s electric cars production.
Fun-Facts About Tesla:
Tesla stands for Tera electron volt Energy Superconducting Linear Accelerator, and the company’s name is a homage to the Serbian American engineer and inventor, Nikola Tesla, who invented the induction motor and alternating-current (AC) power transmission.
Tesla, Inc. was set up way back in the year 2003 (formerly Tesla Motors, Inc.) and while Elon Musk represents the face of the company, he is not one of the actual founders. Tesla Motors, Inc. was founded by engineers and investors Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning, having a vision of building “a car manufacturer that is also a technology company”, with its core technologies as “the battery, the computer software, and the proprietary motor”. Elon Musk then entered Tesla with the vision towards building a solar electric economy and is now the Co-founder and CEO of Tesla.
