   The Nissan GT-R line of cars first debuted in the year 2007 as a direct successor to the Nissan Skyline GT-R series. It was extremely well received by fans and critics alike cementing its position in the global supercar market. The Nissan GT-R is powered by the VR38DETT V6 engine which is a 3,799 cc DOHC V6 beast. It can achieve a top speed of 196 mph with 0-60 in just 3.2 seconds. The model is extremely popular among car-modders in Dubai who like to trick their car out to its limits. It is known for its bold design and reliability, both of which help drive the sales of this model.

2. Audi R8 V10: 

   The Audi R8 V10 was designed, developed and manufactured by Audi AG’s private subsidiary company manufacturing high performance automotive parts, Audi Sport GmbH. Based on the Audi Space Frame and using an aluminum monocoque which is built using space frame principles, the car is also the first to feature full-LED headlamps. The car first appeared on the 2003 International Geneva Motor Show and the 2003 Frankfurt International Motor Show but was finally launched at the Paris Auto Show on 30 September 2006.    Successor to the legendary Porsche Carrera GT, the Porsche 918 Spyder is a mid-engine plug-in hybrid sports car powered by a naturally aspirated 4.6 L V8 engine that is capable of producing 447 kW at 8,700 rpm. Two electric motors also power the vehicle alongside the main engine producing an additional 210 kW. First produced as a limited edition model in 2013, Porsche finally gave in to customer demands and started producing the car commercially for all markets in 2015. Dubai car owners are especially drawn towards this car for its sleek design and commendable mileage.

4. Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG: 

   This one should come as no surprise as any citizen living in Dubai would know the popularity of this car. It is quite impossible to spend a night at the heart of the city without coming across one of these, such as its influence on the mindset of car enthusiasts worldwide. Though the model has been discontinued and has been replaced by the Mercedes-AMG GT, it is still heavily sought after by car owners in the city simply because of its status in the world of Dubai supercars. 5. Aston Martin One-77: 

   The Aston Martin One-77 is one of the rarest supercars in the world with just 77 individual models being produced for consumers worldwide. The name of this car also comes from this little known fact and if you happen to keep one of these beasts in your garage, know that you are one of the luckiest people in this world. One of these 77 cars actually met with an accident in Japan back in May 2012 leaving only 76 of these beauties in the world. Dubai is actually home to a couple of these and if you happen to roam around Dubai mall during the evening, you have a fair chance of coming across one. It features a full carbon fibre monocoque chassis, a handcrafted aluminum body and a 7.3 L; 446.2 cu in V12 engine that is capable of producing a total of 750 HP at 7500 RPM.

6. Lamborghini Aventador: 

    You knew this was going to be on the list! Launched in 2011 as the successor to the massively popular Lamborghini Murciélago, the Aventador is one of the most popular supercars in the world! It is actually hard to name a celebrity who doesn’t own one of these and that’s probably for good reason! Similar to other Lamborghini models, the Aventador is also named after a fighting bull and continues the tradition of its two-seater, mid-engine sports car. Production of the car was limited to 4000 vehicles but Lamborghini reported in late 2015 that they had already reached the milestone of 5000 cars. If you take a stroll in front of the Dubai mall during a friday evening, you are bound to catch one of these beasts too, making rounds across the neighborhood.

7. Bugatti Veyron: 

   Nothing much needs to be said about the Bugatti Veyron other than the fact that it is used to be the fastest car in the world until quite recently when it was overtaken by its own successor, the Bugatti Chiron Sport. Designed and developed in Germany by the Volkswagen Group and manufactured in Molsheim, France, by French automobile manufacturer Bugatti, the Bugatti Veyron does everything in its power to cut down weight in order to increase power to the wheels. Boasting a full carbon-fiber body and an 8.0 litre W16, 64v 2xDOHC quad-turbocharged petrol engine, the Bugatti Veyron simply slaughters every other top cars in UAE or anywhere in the world. Dubai being supercar crazy, you are bound to find one of these at Jumeirah Beach or outside the Dubai Mall. Just make sure you keep your distance if you don’t want to scorch yourself instantly.
